Last May, Kanata Education took a huge leap straight into the heart of the UAE. We teamed up with The Philippine School (TPS) to host two inspiring events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, all aimed at empowering Filipino senior high school students and opening their eyes to the exciting possibilities of studying abroad.
These events were led and facilitated by our amazing consultants: Ms. Katherine Manasan, Sir Francis De Villa, Sir Roy Cruz, and Ms. Vanity League. Each of them brought passion, real experiences, and expert advice to the table.
Why We’re Doing This
At Kanata Education, we believe that every Filipino student deserves the chance to dream bigger—beyond borders, beyond limits. We know many Filipinos move abroad to find better opportunities for themselves and their families. What we want to show is that studying abroad is one of the best ways to make that happen.
It’s not just about getting a diploma overseas. It’s about opening doors to global experiences, hands-on education, and careers that truly align with your goals. We want to make sure students see that studying abroad is not just for the elite. It’s for every Filipino who dares to dream.
Our first stop was TPS Main Campus in Dubai on May 9, 2025, where we held a Career Talk centered on “Study Abroad Opportunities.” Students got a clear picture of what it’s like to study in places like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and more.
We talked about how these countries offer not just top-quality education, but also real-world learning, better career pathways, and globally respected credentials—exactly what future employers are looking for.
Big thanks to Dr. Benedicto Ocon (Principal), Sir Romeo Ancheta (Guidance Counselor), and of course, the incredible Grade 12 students who showed so much curiosity and energy during the session. You guys were amazing!
Our second event brought us to TPS Abu Dhabi on May 13, 2025, for their Career Day—and it was such a vibe!
We focused on how students can future-proof their careers by studying abroad. From career growth to personal development, we wanted to make sure every student walked away with fresh insights and the confidence to map out a solid game plan for their future.
Huge shoutout to Mr. Jesus Ostos Jr. (Principal) and Ms. Rebecca (Guidance Counselor) for welcoming us, and to the students for being so open-minded and engaged.
This trip to the UAE was just the beginning. We left with full hearts and even bigger hopes after seeing how curious, driven, and passionate the students were. It reminded us why we do what we do—to help Filipino students realize that their dreams don’t have to stop at the border.
If you’ve ever wondered whether studying abroad is really for you, we’re here to tell you: yes, it is. Whether you’re still figuring things out or already planning your next move, we’ve got your back. You don’t have to walk this journey alone.
We can’t wait to meet more students, visit more communities, and keep opening doors to the kind of future you truly deserve.
